Biography

Dr. Gazala Afreen Khan is an esteemed Associate Professor at Dubai Pharmacy College for Girls, specializing in Genetics. With over two decades of academic experience, she has demonstrated a deep commitment to the advancement of pharmaceutical and medical sciences. Dr. Khan earned her B.Sc. in Genetics, Chemistry, and Zoology in 1996, her M.Sc. in Genetics in 1998, and her Ph.D. in Genetics in 2004, all from Osmania University, India. Her research focuses on genetic predisposition to diabetes mellitus, pharmacogenomics, and antimicrobial studies. At DPCG, she has contributed significantly to academic quality assurance and continues to advance research in genetics, chronic diseases, and personalized medicine. Dr. Khan is an active member of the Indian Society of Human Genetics (ISHG) and the Middle East Molecular Biology Society (MEMBS).
