Dr. Rana Sammour

Biography

An accomplished professional in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dr. Rana Sammour holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honors) from Dubai Pharmacy College, UAE (2003), a Master of Science in Pharmacy-Pharmaceutical Technology from Ajman University, UAE (2013), and a Master of Science in Health Administration from the University of Atlanta, USA (2010, Online Degree). Dr. Rana earned her PhD in Science in Pharmacy (Pharmaceutical Technology) from the International Islamic University of Malaysia (2021), focusing her research on enhancing the bioavailability of Aceclofenac via a proniosomal system.
Since joining Dubai Pharmacy College in 2021, Dr. Rana has excelled in both teaching and research, delivering courses in Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics, and Social and Behavioral Aspects of Pharmacy. Her academic contributions also include supervising capstone projects and curriculum development. As Head of the Student Affairs Unit, Dr. Rana oversees student activities, addresses concerns, and maintains effective communication with stakeholders.
