A strong presence for Dubai Pharmacy College at the 11th GCC Pharmacy Congress

Dubai Pharmacy College for Girls participated actively in the 11th Annual GCC Pharmacy Congress, held from October 25th to 27th, 2024, at JW Marriott Marina, Dubai. Session one started with an informative talk by Prof. Sherief Khalifa, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Dean of Dubai Pharmacy College for Girls entitled “What Should Pharmacy Education Leaders Stop Doing?” This was followed by a panel discussion to open the floor to answer the attendees’ inquiries.

In addition, four of our undergraduate students also presented their research as poster presentations, showcasing innovative perspectives in pharmacy practice and education:

• Ms. Jumana Haider Al-Anssari, supervised by Dr. Ammar Jaber, presented “Exploring the Advantages, Concerns, and Experiences of Using ChatGPT-4 in Clinical Education and Training for Pharmacy Students.”

• Ms. Haneen Badreldin and Ms. Naiba Khusrau, supervised by Dr. Semira Beshir, shared their literature review on “Pharmacotherapy and Psychological Support: Integrating Pharmacists into Comprehensive Cancer Care.”

• Ms. Nadeen Waleed presented her work on “Current Strategies & Medications in the Management of Female Infertility.”

This congress was an excellent opportunity for our students, our faculty members, researchers, and healthcare professionals to present their scientific contributions, network, and exchange valuable insights.
