Dubai Medical University Discusses Joint Programs with King’s College London and MEAPP

On December 5, 2024, Dubai Medical University (DMU) hosted a delegation from King’s College London and the Middle East Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians (MEAPP) to discuss transformative academic collaborations. The delegation was led by Dr. Assem El Baghdady – MD, MFPM, GFMD, FRCP, President & Co-Founder of MEAPP, accompanied by Dr. Shaikha AlMazrouei, representing both King’s College London and MEAPP.

From DMU, Vice Chancellor – Academic Affairs, Prof. Sherief Khalifa, Dr. Shifan Khanday, Prof. Naglaa Shehab and Prof. Mirza Baig contributed in the discussions. The focus of the discussions was on focused on establishing joint modules and master’s programs in pharmaceutical medicine. These programs aim to provide cutting-edge education and training, equipping healthcare professionals with the expertise needed in the evolving field of pharmaceutical medicine.

As part of the visit, DMU formalized its institutional membership with the Middle East Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians (MEAPP), further solidifying its position as a hub for academic excellence and innovation in the region.

This collaboration reflects DMU’s commitment to fostering global partnerships, advancing health professions education, and preparing future leaders in the pharmaceutical sector.
