Dubai Pharmacy College partners with American Pharmacists Association
On Monday January 6, 2025, a delegation from the American Pharmacists Association (APhA): Daniel Zlott Senior Vice President, Education & Business Development and Michael Rouse Senior Director, Global Initiatives entered signed an agreement with Dubai Pharmacy College (DPC). The agreement aims to advance the scope of practice of Pharmacy in the UAE to include immunization. APhA will train faculty, licensed pharmacists and students of DPC to become certified immunizers by APhA. The immunization training course will become part of the study plan for the Pharmacy degree program at DPC.
Dean Khalifa commented: "We are excited about our partnership with APhA and we are hoping that our initiatives with APhA will be contagious to all colleges of pharmacy in the UAE and the region. We believe that it is time to make use of the pharmacists' workforce that has been underutilized for decades."
